Thank you for being willing to engage in a discussion about Life. It's much better to go through this journey of life with trusted friends. More to follow.
When all I see is the battle, You see my victory When all I see is the mountain, You see a mountain moved And as I walk through the shadow, Your love surrounds me There's nothing to fear now for I am safe with You … So when I fight, I'll fight on my knees With my hands lifted high Oh God, the battle belongs to You And every fear I lay at Your feet I'll sing through the night Oh God, the battle belongs to You And if You are for me, who can be against me? For Jesus, there's nothing impossible for You When all I see are the ashes, You see the beauty Thank You, God When all I see is a cross, God, You see the empty tomb Almighty fortress, You go before us Nothing can stand against the power of our God You shine in the shadow, You win every battle Nothing can stand against the power of our God -Lyrics by Phil Whickham and Brian Johnson This song has been going through my head a lot over the last several weeks. Notes adapted from a sermon by Pastor Keith Waggoner at Grace Bible Church in Nampa, ID. This is a popular song that is sung around the Christmas season: Joy to the world, the Lord is come! First let’s go through some background in scripture about how we find ourselves in the predicament of needing a Savior. The Bible says in Romans 3:23-24. All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory… And in Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death… Think about the word reconcile for a minute. It means to bring back into harmony and peaceful coexistence. You see, our sin and wrong-doing separated us from God. All of us are less than perfect. In other wor...
